Delete your account

You can delete your GenTask account yourself, at any time. You do not need to contact us.

How to delete your account

• In the mobile app: Settings → Account → Delete account. You confirm by signing in again.
• On the web: sign in at app.gentask.ai, open Account, choose Delete account and confirm by signing in again.
• By email: write to privacy@gentask.ai from the email address of your account. We verify the request and delete the account, within 30 days at the latest.

You receive a confirmation email afterwards.

What is deleted immediately

Your account and sign-in record, programs, tasks, schedules and reminders, share links, chat history, learning plans, push notification tokens and usage counters.

What is kept, and for how long

• A retention record, 12 months: a one-way hash of your normalized email address, that month's usage counters, learning-plan creation times from the last 30 days, and a ban flag. It exists only to stop people from resetting free limits or escaping a ban by deleting and re-registering.
• Encrypted backups, about 90 days: deleted data disappears as the backups are replaced.
• Server logs, up to 90 days: they contain an internal ID, not your name or email. The reverse proxy's error logs can also contain your IP address.
• Copies other people saved from your share links belong to them and are not deleted.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in the store.
